Residential Care

Residential care is best suited to those who need additional assistance with their personal tasks and who would like to be free of housekeeping and cooking duties. Residents who stay with us can experience a variety of meal options for breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoy social activities with like-minded people in a luxury environment.

We work closely with residents and their loved ones to discover an individual’s likes, dislikes, abilities and preferences in order to develop a complete care plan. As needs change over time, we will reassess a resident’s method of care so that we are continually meeting their needs. Residential care allows individuals to do the things they enjoy most without daily stresses getting in the way.

Dementia Care

We provide comprehensive dementia care at our home. Our team works hard to ensure each resident feels comfortable and safe in their environment and has everything they could need from our team. Our goal is to support residents in living an independent lifestyle as much as possible. Our staff has an extensive amount of dementia care knowledge as well as experience working with those who have lived with dementia at different levels and stages.

We ensure that the daily care and support provided to residents is tailored to their needs and wishes, as well as the wishes of their friends and family members. We ensure to provide inclusive activities for all so that every person at our home, no matter what their circumstances are, can feel a part of unity.

Respite Care

Respite care provides short-term care for those in need of professional care. Whether you’re providing care duties for a loved one or have recently recovered from an illness or injury, we are here to look after you or your loved one. You are able to fully recover at The Porterbrook thanks to a qualified care team who will cater to your every need.

Respite care can also be used as a way of trialling a care home, giving you the opportunity to decide if The Porterbrook is the right fit for you. As everyone has different reasons for requiring respite care, we will make sure that each person gets the care and assistance they require, while taking into consideration their interests, preferences and goals.

We Are Always Here To Provide Support

We will sit with you and your loved ones to discuss the best care plan for the individual in need of care, and ensure everyone involved has peace of mind.
