Lots of Fun and Activities for The Queen’s Jubilee

In June, we really enjoyed celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee alongside our residents and all of their friends and family members. We really took full advantage of the warm weather by throwing a fantastic garden party, where we even welcomed an entertainer through our front doors to keep all of our party guests well and truly enthralled. We even had the honour of welcoming a couple of "royal visitors" into The Porterbrook grounds, to spread the joyous and patriotic feeling throughout our home.

From delicious cupcakes with the Union Flag emblazoned on the top and a beautiful matching cake, our party guests had lots to choose from at our Jubilee Party. On our menu, we had other firm British favourites such as scones with jam, apple crumble with custard and classic Ploughman's lunches. Everyone had a fun-filled day, packed to the brim with excitement and entertainment. What a brilliant way to celebrate the glorious, 70-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

We love seeing everyone come together to catch up with loved ones and make new friendships. It's been truly missed by everyone at The Porterbrook. We look forward to hosting more outdoor events during the upcoming summer months.
