With 44 en-suite bedrooms, our modern home offers around-the-clock Residential, Dementia and Respite care for older people. Not only do we provide an exceptional care service, but our residential home in Sheffield also presents an array of all-inclusive facilities for residents to use whenever they wish which are included in our weekly fees. These include private outdoor space, a hair salon & treatment room, a cinema room and a library to name a few.

Our dedicated Activities Coordinators are thrilled to provide an extensive activities programme available every day designed to suit a range of interests. There is always some fun to be had at The Porterbrook, and if residents would rather sit out, that’s completely fine too.

Activities include creating sculptures, creating decorations for the home for special days, pamper days and entertainment such as talent shows and performing musicians. Our team ensures that the activities and workshops that take place in our Sheffield care home cater to the interests of our residents, which enhances quality of life, and we will happily take new suggestions on board.

Buses operating between Barnsley and Sheffield, and routes within the city itself, provide services to stops close to our care home. One of our closest stops that visitors use is Manchester Road/Vernon Terrace, which is only a 5-minute walk from us at The Porterbrook.

For visitors using railway services, Sheffield’s main railway station is the most convenient location for our home and can be reached via bus or taxi. Regular trains run between Barnsley and Sheffield, as well as services from Leeds, Manchester and other regional centres, making journeys feasible even from further afield.
